Shalakya tantra is one among the Ashtanga Ayurveda which deals with diseases and treatment of shiras ( head ) specially ENT and Eye. Department has OPD & IPD units in our college hospital with good number of patients. Classical Ayurvedic medicines are prepared in the departments which are used for classical Ayurvedic procedures like nasya, aschotana, tarpana, anjana, putapaka, shorovasti, shirolepa, shiroabhyanga, gandoosha, karna poorana etc

which yielded good results. A very good treatment is available with good result which increased patient inflow in OPD & IPD, which is appreciated by govt of Karnataka & CCIM New Delhi. Department is ornamented with charts, models, specimens & books.Department is headed by renowned prof Dr Suchitra Chawan as faculty.
